35 Anniversary Celebration & Film Screening: The Invisible War

Red River Theater, Concord
The Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire will be holding a film screening of the critically acclaimed documentary, The Invisible War to celebrate their 35th Anniversary at the Red River Theater in Concord. The event will include a reception at 5:30 and a panel discussion after the film at 8:00pm. Call 225-7376 to find out more.
Clothesline Project and Victims' Rights Day
April 23
The annual Crime Victims’ Rights Day will be held Tuesday April 23 in Concord. The event includes the unveiling of the powerful Clothesline Project Display organized by the AmeriCorps Victim Assistance Program. It will be on the Statehouse Lawn from 11am to 2pm. This project highlights the pain and healing experienced by survivors of domestic and sexual violence. It gives survivors and their loved ones a way to cope with and express what they have experienced by writing messages on t-shirts. A press conference featuring members of the Attorney General’s office as well as other victim’s rights organizations will take place at St. Paul’s Church at 11am. A memorial service will be held at the facility that evening at 5:30pm.

White Ribbon Campaign
SHARPP’s goal is to have as many men as possible in the UNH community make the pledge, and wear a white ribbon pin or bracelet during Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Sexual Assault Forensic Exam: An Overview

Join members of the Belknap County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) to learn more about the process of a sexual assault forensic exam, in which evidence is collected after a sexual assault.  This will be presented by the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners who have special training to do the exam.  It will take place at the SART meeting so that interested community members can also learn more about the SART.  Please call 528-6511 for more information.

She will share her story of survival from childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence. Her story of survival and her message of breaking the silence are truly inspiring. SASS will also present our dynamic prevention education programming, Safe Kids Strong Teens, a K-12 series aimed at teaching prevention child sexual abuse, sexual harassment, bullying and teen dating violence.
