(Concord, NH) The New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is pleased to announce it has received a donation of $3,483 from New Hampshire’s General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC-NH.) The money will help pay for an awareness campaign for Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month which takes place in February. The campaign will include a new awareness brochure and other outreach materials.
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC-NH) is a state-wide volunteer organization of women celebrating over 100 years of community improvement. The GFWC-NH is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs International, one of the largest volunteer service organizations of women in the world. Funding for this project was raised by general and junior members of the GFWC-NH. Through various projects the GFWC-NH has focused on domestic violence since 2006. It was the Presidents Project from 2006-2008, and the past Presidents Project from 2008-2010. As the signature project for the General Federation of Women's Clubs International, domestic violence will remain a focus for the clubs.
“The Coalition is grateful for the ongoing support from the GFWC-NH,” said Grace Mattern Executive Director, NHCADSV. “It is wonderful to have such enthusiastic partners work towards creating safer communities.”
