The New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is pleased to announce that Amy Sousa of Hudson has been named as the new Interim Executive Director, beginning July 5. Amy brings with her 16 years of anti-violence advocacy. She has worked on the community level as an advocate, on the state level as a policy director for the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and on the national level for the Office on Violence Against Women's Legal Assistance to Victims Technical Assistance project. Most recently she has worked as a communications and project management consultant and as university faculty.

Longtime Executive Director Grace Mattern said goodbye to the Coalition earlier this month after 30 years of service. The Interim Executive Director will help lead the Coalition during the initial transition period. A search for a permanent executive director will be reopened in the early fall, it is anticipated the position will be filled by the new year.

"I look forward to being part of a coalition that has such a remarkable history of advocacy for survivors of domestic and sexual violence," says Sousa.

Amy lives in Hudson with her husband and two daughters where she is a member of the school board.
