Lyn Schollett Named Executive Director of NHCADSV
The New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is pleased to announce that Lyn Schollett has been hired as the new Executive Director, effective September 3.
Lyn comes to New Hampshire from Illinois where she served as the General Counsel for the Illinois Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ICASA) for 16 years. She has a strong record of advocacy and dedication to combating domestic and sexual violence. During her tenure with ICASA Lyn was responsible for the passage of numerous landmark legislative initiatives including the first stand alone protective order for rape victims in the nation. In addition she provided vital technical assistance to the 32 sexual assault member programs of ICASA.
Lyn’s experience will play a vital role in guiding the New Hampshire Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence toward the vision that all New Hampshire communities provide safety for every person.
“Everyone in the state should be able to go to school, to work, and live in their own home without the threat of violence,” said Schollett. “Through my paid and unpaid work, I have had the privilege of fostering my lifetime commitment to advancing the state of women and girls in our world. I welcome the opportunity to continue that endeavor with the Coalition.”
