SANE Quarterly Review Day
September 22, 2014, 9:30 - 3:30
Police Standards and Training, 17 Institute Drive, Concord, NH
Training will include: 
Case Review with Betsy Morse, ARNP SANE-P
Toluidine Blue Application & Findings, Michele McMurray, BS, RN, SANE A/P 
NH SANE Kit Updates with Michele McMurray, BS, RN, SANE A/P 
Cultural Competency with Lutheran Social Services  - This portion of the training will discuss current immigrant and refugee populations in NH. There will be a review of some cultural beliefs common with these populations as well as an overview of services available and best practices when serving new Americans.

Simulated Mock Exam & Pelvic Exam Day
Saturday, October 11, 2014
This training is an opportunity for existing SANEs to perform and observe speculum examinations and precepted* adult/adolescent sexual assault examinations.  Approximately five students will be paired with an experienced preceptor to practice performing an external genital assessment, a speculum examination, foley catheter technique for hymen visualization, culture collection, and sexual assault evidence recovery. 
If you are interested in performing a precepted simulated mock exam, please indicate that on your registration as these must be scheduled in advance.

State of NH SANE Pediatric Training 
November 10- 14, 2014 
Jen Pierce-Weeks, former president of IAFN and former Director of the NH SANE Program will be conducting this SANE-P training. This training will provide nurses with knowledge specific to providing direct care to child victims of sexual abuse and assault. Participants will learn to conduct a pediatric sexual abuse examination for collection of evidence and identification of potential injuries. There will be a focus on techniques and issues that will assist nurses to accomplish the task. Participants will also learn about the responsibilities of the various agencies in NH that work together to support a child victim and their families. 
Cost to NH Nurses who register prior to Oct 20th: $400 
Cost to NH Nurses who register after Oct. 20th: $450 
Cost to Out of State Nurses who register prior to Oct. 20th: $500
Cost to Out of State Nurses who register after Oct. 20th: $550 
Non-Medical Provider: No Cost

SANE Quarterly Review
December 8, 2014, 9:00am - 3:00pm
NH Forensic Laboratory
Topic: Strangulation, Disease and Crime 
A presentation of proper documentation when recording information about bruising and strangulation by Jeanie Duval, M.D. the Deputy Chief Medical Examiner at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Margery Donovan, APRN a Nurse Case Manager with Infectious Disease at Dartmouth Hitchcock will be presenting on disease updated with a focus HIV updates to include screening and medication regiments Hepatitis B and C updates STD updates and changes. The afternoon will focus around the crime lab with a review of best practices for evidence collection and a Q and A with Criminalist Kevin McMahon

December 8 Quarterly Review Registration

Successful completion of all SANE Program trainings requires that you attend the entire training, sign the attendance sheet, and complete an evaluation.  Contact hours will be awarded once all of these requirements are met.

NHCADSV is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by New Hampshire Nurses' Association's Commission on continuing Education, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Registration for all quarterly review days is required because space is limited.  If you do not have the opportunity to register prior to an event please contact Christina Presenti (contact information below) at least 24 hours prior to the training to ensure that space is available.
