1.     Child Abuse Prevention

• If a child tells you that he or she has been hurt or you are concerned that a child may be the victim of any type of abuse or neglect, you must call the Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Central Intake Unit at:
  • Telephone: (800) 894-5533 (in-state) or (603) 271-6562 (out of state)
    24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
    For immediate emergencies, please call 911.

2.     Food

• NH Food Bank - COVID-19 relief

• SNAP provides eligible adults, seniors and families with benefits to buy food items at grocery stores, farmers markets and other approved food retailers.​
• WIC, The New Hampshire Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) provides nutrition education and nutritious foods to help keep pregnant women, new mothers, infants and preschool children healthy and strong.

3.     Health Insurance

• Apply for health insurance and other assistance at NH EASY
• You can also apply for SNAP (food assistance) on NH EASY. 

4.     Housing

• For emergency shelter or housing assistance, contact your local program or call the statewide helpline (866) 644-3574

5.     Financial

• Unemployment: If you lost your job, cannot work, or have fewer work hours due to COVID-19, you are eligible for immediate unemployment benefits through the state and federal government.  https://www.nhes.nh.gov/

• Bills / utilities:  Utility companies are not allowed to shut off utilities during the NH State of Emergency. If you are unable to pay your bills, contact your utility company directly and reach out to your local Community Action Program (by calling 211) or local Welfare Office.
