Granite State RESPECT Week (GSRW) is a teen-centered campaign that takes place in high schools across New Hampshire during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. GSRW 2017 was made possible by HopeLine by Verizon, a Verizon Wireless Program working to end domestic violence through various initiatives, including funding projects that support victims and survivors of domestic violence and prioritize prevention.
The structure of this project is similar to a high school spirit week in that each day has a unique theme that ties into the greater message of teen dating violence awareness. GSRW is based off of an initiative that was originally developed by loveisrespect.org in an effort to engage, educate and empower young people during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. The Coalition and its 13 member programs have adopted this initiative and tailored it to meet the needs of New Hampshire schools.
