Granite State RESPECT Week is a teen-centered campaign that takes place in high schools across New Hampshire during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
The structure of this campaign is similar to a high school spirit week in that each day is built around a theme that speaks to an aspect of teen dating violence awareness. GSRW is based on an initiative originally developed by loveisrespect.org aimed at engaging, educating and empowering young people. The Coalition and its 12 member programs have adopted this initiative and tailored it to meet the unique needs of New Hampshire schools. With the support of the Coalition and local crisis center educators, it is our hope that New Hampshire high schools will work to promote healthy relationships and foster communities of respect all year long. GSRW was designed to empower schools and students to customize the RESPECT Week project to reflect the needs and capacities of their schools and communities. |
