NH Victims' Compensation Program The New Hampshire Victims' Compensation Program helps innocent victims of violent crime with expenses directly related to crime injuries. The costs of this program are paid by motor vehicle and criminal fine assessments and federal Victims Of Crime Act (VOCA) grants, and not by New Hampshire Taxpayers.
VICTIMS' INC. VICTIMS, INC. is a private, non-profit agency which provides immediate service, with trained volunteers, prepared to be with people during the worst moments of their lives; volunteers who stay until the family's own support system is in place. The mission of VICTIMS, INC. is to complete the circle of services for victims, from onset of trauma through healing.All services are free. The Joan Ellis Victim Assistance Network, VICTIMS, INC. was created in the memory of Joan Ellis. Joan and her unborn daughter, Julianne were killed: her two year old daughter Jacqueline, was injured in a motor vehicle crash caused by a driver who failed to stop for a red light. The devastation caused by the death of this vibrant, young woman led her husband Jim to create a service for victims that did not already exist.
NH Office of Victim/Witness Assistance The State Office of Victim/Witness Assistance (OVWA) was created legislatively (RSA 21-M:8-k) to provide 24-hour direct services and support in all of the state's homicide cases and to coordinate efforts to develop and standardize statewide victim services, protocols and policies and training for all of the professionals involved.
NH Campus Consortium Against Sexual and Interpersonal Violence The New Hampshire Campus Consortium Against Sexual and Interpersonal Violence (formerly the New Hampshire Violence Against Women Campus Consortium) is a state-wide collaborative association of colleges, universities, and community partners and stakeholders. The Consortium’s mission is to provide a forum to share resources and to discuss, develop, and implement comprehensive prevention and intervention strategies to address and end violence against women on college campuses, specifically sexual violence, domestic and dating violence, and stalking.
Granite State Children's Alliance (GSCA) GSCA works to provide all victims of child abuse in New Hampshire a neutral environment where justice, healing, equity and prevention are fostered through the consistent, high quality and sustaining collaboration of community partners.
NH Human Trafficking Collaborative Task Force The NH Human Trafficking Collaborative Task Force serves as a central hub where community stakeholders can connect, learn, and maximize impact through collaboration in the fight against human trafficking in NH.
NH Legal Assistance (NHLA) NHLA's mission is to fulfill America’s promise of equal justice by providing civil legal services to New Hampshire’s poor, including education and empowerment, advice, representation, and advocacy for systemic change.
NHLA offers clients high-quality civil legal aid to address the legal problems that affect their daily survival and most basic needs. These services range from simple legal information and advice to vigorous and thorough representation in all of New Hampshire's courts and before many of the local, state and federal agencies which play large roles in their lives. NH Adult Protective Services The Adult Protection Law requires any person who has a reason to believe that an vulnerable adult has been subjected to abuse, neglect, exploitation or self-neglect to make a report immediately to the Bureau of Elderly & Adult Services (BEAS). NH Division for Children, Youth & Families (DCYF) NH Law requires any person who suspects that a child under age 18 has been abused or neglected must report that suspicion immediately to DCYF. (New Hampshire RSA 169-C:29-31)

DCYF staff provide a wide range of family-centered services with the goal of meeting the needs of parents and their children and strengthening the family system. Services are designed to support families and children in their own homes and communities whenever possible.
Community Mental Health Centers The Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs) are located in 10 regions of New Hampshire. They are private not-for-profit agencies that have contracted with the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Behavioral Health (BBH), to provide publicly funded mental health services to individuals and families who meet certain criteria for services.
Services provided by CMHCs include: 24-hour Emergency Services, Assessment and Evaluation, Individual and Group Therapy, Case Management, Community Based Rehabilitation Services, Psychiatric Services, and Community Disaster Mental Health Support. All CMHCs have specialized programs for older adults, children, and families. The Community Mental Health Centers also provide services and referrals for short-term counseling and support.
uSafe uSafeUS is a free smartphone app that places key resources directly into the hands of NH college students who have experienced sexual assault, as well as their friends, family and others who can help. uSafeUS also offers interactive safety features and information on how to support friends and other loved ones in the aftermath of an assault.
