1.     Child Abuse Prevention

• If a child tells you that he or she has been hurt or you are concerned that a child may be the victim of any type of abuse or neglect, you must call the Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) Central Intake Unit at:

• 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.

2.     Food

• NH Food Bank - COVID-19 relief

• SNAP provides eligible adults, seniors and families with benefits to buy food items at grocery stores, farmers markets and other approved food retailers.​
• WIC, The New Hampshire Women, Infants and Children Nutrition Program (WIC) provides nutrition education and nutritious foods to help keep pregnant women, new mothers, infants and preschool children healthy and strong.

3.     Health Insurance

• Apply for health insurance and other assistance at NH EASY
• You can also apply for SNAP (food assistance) on NH EASY. 

4.     Housing

• For emergency shelter or housing assistance, contact your local program or call the statewide helpline (866) 644-3574

5.     Financial

• Unemployment: If you lost your job, cannot work, or have fewer work hours due to COVID-19, you are eligible for immediate unemployment benefits through the state and federal government.  https://www.nhes.nh.gov/

• Bills / utilities:  Utility companies are not allowed to shut off utilities during the NH State of Emergency. If you are unable to pay your bills, contact your utility company directly and reach out to your local Community Action Program (by calling 211) or local Welfare Office. 
• Economic Relief: Second-Round Stimulus Checks
  • Second-round payments for qualifying Individuals will be issued by January 15. Please read through this update to learn more about these payments. You can track your payment here: https://www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment
  • Specific guidance for survivors of domestic and sexual violence regarding stimulus payments. That information can be found here.
  • Second-round economic impact payments (EIPs), also called "stimulus payments" will be $600 per eligible person and $600 for each qualifying dependent.
  • You can claim both your FIRST and SECOND stimulus payment on a 2020 Tax Return. This is especially important if you did not receive both stimulus payments by the end of January 2021. You can file even if you are below the filing threshold. Go to http://www.nhtaxhelp.org or call 211 to request free help in preparing and filing your 2020 Tax Return.
  • Second Round Stimulus Payments may come in the form VISA Debit Cards. They will come in a white envelope with the US Treasury Seal. Keep an eye out for these envelopes, they are not a scam! You can read more about the EIP cards here: https://www.eipcard.com/faq/
