A donor-advised fund is a like a personal charitable savings account. A donor creates an account and makes a contribution of cash, stock, or other assets like real estate and can take an immediate tax deduction for the gift.
How does it work?
Establish your DAF by making an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program
Advise the investment allocation of the donated assets (any investment growth is tax-free)
Recommend grants to public charities like the Coalition.
If you have an existing account with any of these funds, DAF Direct makes it easy to recommend donations to the Coalition directly from your DAF.
